In 2005, Italy was not very well indeed. Whirls of Berlusconi’s followers were colliding with major Institutions: the Bench, the Central Bank, the Press. Many felt as being in the middle of a grotesque maelstrom. At that time, the author of the lyrics of the current Italian national anthem (Goffredo Mameli) would have probably added a question mark to his verse “Italy has woken”…
