VOCE – Workshop in Composition at Tempo Reale
11-14 September 2021
Limonaia of Villa Strozzi, Tempo Reale, Florence
VOICE
Composition and performance workshop on the voice in electroacoustic music
Workshop conducted by Luigi Ceccarelli with the participation of Elena Bucci.
Tempo Reale resumes its didactic activity in presence, referring back to the theme of the voice already addressed during the Studio Vox cycle. Luigi Ceccarelli is one of the leading experts in Italy in the use of the voice in electroacoustic music. He has a long series of acousmatic compositions, radio works and music for voice theater to his credit. This workshop is a path that aims to create a collective composition, following all the stages of the compositional process: the selection of materials, composition, work with the performer and public performance.
concert
Tuesday 14 September 2021, Limonaia di Villa Strozzi, 7 pm
Given the creative response of the participants in Luigi Ceccarelli’s VOCE workshop just concluded at the Limonaia of Villa Strozzi, the concert program was integrated with pieces composed by the participants in the seminar. The lyrics of the pieces are almost all taken from La libellula (1958) by Amelia Rosselli and see the participation of a plurality of voices: that of Elena Bucci, both recorded and live, and those of the composers themselves.
