“map” was born from research conducted with the support of Artificial Intelligence. The input consists of the figures that form the piece, taken from previous works or composed specifically for the occasion; the output is the piece itself.
The compositional algorithm includes a series of decisions in the prompt regarding the choice of figures, their frequency, and the randomization of their positions, producing a kaleidoscopic arrangement that is redefined with each execution of the script. There are 16 figures for each section, and for each section the dataset is redefined, introducing new figures while retaining some of those already heard.
The Introduction and Coda are exceptions to this process, written with a more traditional approach, even though they draw on material of the same nature as the figures in the algorithmic process.
