Scuola di Musica di Testaccio, Introduction to the Workshop Composition for multimedia

The workshop “Composition for multimedia” is dedicated to deepening this musical genre that is becoming increasingly popular.
During the course we will analyse works from different periods and genres, with regards to musical and technical issues, with particular reference to the silent movie.
As part of the training, meetings will be organised with players, both students and professors of the school, in order to organise the final project.

The last quarter will be entirely devoted to the collective realisation of a soundtrack for a silent movie. This work will be live performed, with acoustic instruments and electronics, in a public event at the Scuola Popolare di Musica di Testaccio.

Prerequisites:
– basics of Music Theory
– basics of Harmony and Composition and/or Music Informatics
