“Luce – Ombra” takes up the concept of the futurist machine, brought back to our days and conceived as a rigorous and inexorable clockwork mechanism that controls the string quartet.
“Luce – Ombra” was originally written for the dance show “Anihccam”, made in 1989 with the choreographer Lucia Latour, and is dedicated to the work of the futurist artist Fortunato Depero. The piece can be performed in two versions: the original, completely “mechanized” version and a version with the live quartet playing along with other synthetic strings.
